Sourcing & Contracting Manager Role OverviewThe Sourcing & Contracting Manager will work collaboratively with business owners across the world and otherProcurement colleagues based in regions. The successful candidate will have responsibility for spend on Outsourced Services, and report into Global Directs & Innovation Procurement.The role interacts with stakeholders in R&D, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance. You will develop fit for purpose contracting solutions to facilitate faster delivery for business owners and establish and execute the procurement strategy for key stakeholders.You will possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, be results-oriented, and have a passion for collaborating and building relationships.Additionally, the role:Develop a comprehensive strategy for the procurement of R&D outsourced services for key R&D stakeholders designed to ensure high quality of services and ensure Haleon’s competitive positionCollaborate with key stakeholders to deploy strategies globally, facilitated by robust implementation and transition plansGenerate value in terms of quality, delivery, cost and innovation; contribute significantly to organization’s goals and objectivesPlan, lead, and negotiate and execute contracts/agreements in a timely manner under a defined contracting strategyApply legal principles in a global environment, effectively cooperate and communicating with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance or other functions) as neededBe main Haleon Point of Contact for certain suppliersInfluence stakeholders and implement supplier governance,organize and lead regular meetingsBuild relationships and ensure effective communication with key internal stakeholders, understand business requirements, support non-standard workflow requests, position Procurement’s value propositionManage critical supplier engagement tools and build relationships with preferred suppliers to ensure the value of the supplier-Haleon relationship is optimized.Lead scouting and sourcing activities when appropriate.Support delivery of innovation projects and collaborating with stakeholders with a focus on speed to launch and growthSupport the implementation of / develop complex sourcing strategies on specific technologies as requiredSupport end to end cost optimization, complexity reduction and supplier relationship management.Create and implement Procurement initiatives/strategies which improve quality of service and supply, innovation pipeline and produce significant cost savings across business units or supply networksConsistently demonstrate Haleon’s values and behaviors, foster the environment of a modern employer.Contribute to cultural change to enable an organization focused on decision-making, accountability, quality, speed, performance, results, and collaboration.WHY YOUQualifications & Skills: Minimum Level of Education: University Degree (Contract Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Science, Financial Management, Project Management)This role requires the strategic thinking, excellent English written and oral communication skills, and proven business leadership experience. It requires the ability to independently resolve problems that may involve people across several internal departments and functions, as well as externally facing interactions with vendors and suppliers.Experience in delivery of quality, compliant, timely, well-specified agreements5+ years of Procurement/Contracting experienceTrack record of success in continuous improvement, innovative work practices, simplification, driving changes to achieve these and innovation project deliveryLiteracy of Ariba system or similar toolPreferred Qualifications & Skills:Other foreign language capability will be a plusExperience of working in multinational companyComfortable in influencing without authority across functions up to the functional management teamsGood practical knowledge of Change Management process and its practical implementationRapid learning ability to deal with complex and novel situations including negotiation, project management and contractingDemonstrated experience in working effectively in a complex matrix organization with senior internal stakeholder interfacesFlexibility in learning new competencies on-job in Procurement environmentWell-developed soft skills are essential for successStrong teamworkExperience in work requiring high level of attention to detail and excellent follow-upAbility to manage multiple and often changing prioritiesAbility to work with a sense of urgency, exhibiting resilience under pressureStrong analytical, problem solving and organisationskillsAbility to influence others and collaborate across functions and geographiesNone of us should ever feel like we are standing still.
