Job DescriptionWho we're looking forJoin our Localization Strategy and Operations team at Zendesk! We are seeking a passionate team member for the position of Associate Program Manager, Localization. Our team is responsible for language strategies, localization project management, vendor partnerships, language assets, localization tools, machine translation programs, and more. You will work closely with external partners to deliver high-quality localized contents to a variety of business units at Zendesk. Let's empower our products to be enjoyed everywhere! What you’ll be doing Linguistic quality assuranceCollaborate with English content writers and localization team to optimise the English copy for translation.Resolve questions related to source file discrepancies, terminology, language quality, and workflow.Supervise translation quality, analyzing linguistic reports and bugs.Programme and Project ManagementHandle project management tasks including project scope identification, file organizing and processing in Phrase TMS, vendor communication, and various project-related administrative tasks.Analyze requirements and supporting reference materials, and clearly share these with our vendors.Handle schedule challenges, query cycles, and linguistic quality assurance (QA) to ensure successful delivery to our internal clients.Apply operational knowledge to improve and streamline our localization processes.What you bring to the roleBachelor's or Master’s degree in English, Localization, Language Studies, Linguistics or equivalent experience in a relevant field.Understanding of localization file formats (CSV, SRT, HTML, YAML, XLIFF, JSON, etc.), and familiarity with project management tools and Zendesk products preferred.Native or near-native English written and verbal communication skills , with proficiency in a foreign language preferred.Extensive knowledge of Phrase TMS, translation memories (TM) and term bases (TB), as well as good understanding of machine translation (MT) technology.Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail, efficient time-management, and strong interpersonal skills.A strong sense of collaboration and the ability to build good relationships.A positive, humorous, and friendly human spirit.Required experience:2+ years localization experience.Experience in writing or editing content in English.Experience with industry-standard localization tools and best practises.Zendesk software was built to bring a sense of calm to the chaotic world of customer service. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
