Tax ManagerFor our Corporate Tax department in our Polish Branch in Krakow of State Street Bank International GmbH we are looking for a Tax Manager (AVP). The Tax Manager, AVP, based in Krakow, will be an integral member of the Corporate Tax Department. The successful candidate will report to State Street's Head of Continental European Tax based in Munich with a dual line to the Head of Finance in Poland and will play a critical role in all corporate ie tax and VAT matters of State Street's presence in Poland and selected entities in other countries. The role's principal responsibility will be to ensure fullpliance with local taxpliance requirements and tax accounting. Major responsibilities Leading the Corporate Ie Tax and VATpliance processes. Supporting the preparation by outside advisors of State Street's corporate ie tax returns. Responsibility for review and submission of JPKpliant Polish VAT returns and liaising where necessary with the local tax office. Leading tax accounting/calculation, and tax reporting for State Street's Polish branches and selected entities in other countries, including review of monthly current and deferred tax calculations under local GAAP and US GAAP Leading the local Tax Control Framework, especially with respect to Corporate Taxpliance guidelines & procedures Providing tax guidelines, support and advice to the finance team with support of outside advisors and the Corporate Tax Team. Supporting the automation of processes for tax reporting and for capturing tax return information Supporting functional analysis and documentation in the context of VAT and transfer pricing Education, Experience and Skills Advanced university degree ideally in Tax, Finance, Law and/or Business Administration. Ideally 5+ years of Corporate Tax and VAT experience with a public accounting or law firm or with a multinationalpany Strong tax accounting skills, Ideally US GAAP experience, including expertise with ASC 740 accounting for ie taxes. Fluency in Polish (mandatory) and English Strong analytical and spreadsheet (Excel) skills with an attention to detail Solidmunication / interpersonal and time management skills, with an ability to prioritize.
