This is where you can do your best work.Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives—where your purpose accelerates our mission.SummaryAs the Category Manager you will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies for Electronics, providing leadership, critical thinking, and expertise for electronics and electromechanical categories to advance Baxter Global Business Units (GBUs) mission agenda “Save and Sustain Lives”.What you will be doingBeing responsible for supplier relationship management and risk assessment.Developing and implementing risk mitigation plans, negotiating, and contracting.Working with Senior Procurement Managers to develop category strategies that reduce supply base, dependence on single/sole-sourced suppliers, deliver supply continuity, and provide cost reductions.Delivering annual MIP (cost reductions) and PPV objectives at category and plant levels. Jointly, with supplier quality, address supplier quality issues timely.Facilitating the development and execution of long-term strategies that will optimize Baxter’s global position in terms of quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, and total cost.Being responsible for improving technology and purchasing power to reduce the overall cost of ownership and acquisition through strategic negotiation and optimization of supplier agreements.Handling a large set of data and working with Senior Purchasing Managers on large scale quote and data analytics and managing the Electronic Component Control Towers.Leading a cross-functional, cross-divisional commodity team in the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities, in support of business objectives for cycle/response time, quality assurance, technology/new product development, risk mitigation, and total cost.Owning strategies that extend through the supply chain including primary and sub-tier suppliers.Who are we looking for? Minimum 3-5 years of meaningful experience in Procurement (Electronic and electromechanical knowledge preferred), experience in a regulated and highly technical environment preferred, such as Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial OEM, and/or Medical Device industries.Strong decision maker surrounding multi-million dollar contracts and agreements and major policies able to think strategically and globally.A strong analyst with risk management skills, being able to work with multiple different data sets and drive innovative solutions and problem-solving analysis and resolution.A seasoned negotiator with knowledge of cost tools such as material breakdown, benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering, sophisticated RFQ’s and innovative purchasing tools.Experienced Project Manager who drives projects to closure and handles diverse customer interests and expectations.In-depth understanding of building category strategies, sophisticated pricing arrangements and supplier profitability.Knowledge of root cause analysis, problem-solving, continuous improvement, corrective and preventative action, product quality assurance systems, and supplier performance development and evaluation is helpful.Travel of 5-10% may be required, also globally.A proficient English speaker is a must!We offerFixed-term contract for 3 months and then for an indefinite period.Competitive salary, annual bonuses, recognition award program.Corporate culture based on our values: collaboration, speed, courage and simplicity.Possibilities for development on a personal and professional level in one of the leading global MedTech companies.Package of benefits including Private medical care (Lux Med), Life Insurance, Multisport card.Bax4U - cafeteria/lunch cards (300 PLN).PPE program with very attractive conditions available for each employee after 3 months.Educational support: fully covered language courses (English or other languages according to business needs), financial certifications (ACCA, CIMA).Co-financing of holidays and an additional 2 days off from work annually.Day off for birthday.Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Phenomenal Warsaw office location - Powiśle!
