.As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of data-intensive projects for Customers from Pharma and BioTech. You will ensure collaboration is successful for the client (delivering measurable value), our team (high employee satisfaction score), and Appsilon (growing business and billability). Your role will consists of:Building a strong relationship with the Customer:Having a good understanding of the Customers industry Having regular meetings with stakeholders across the client’s organization and discussing their challengesExploring new areas in which collaboration with our tea can bring value to the Customer Understanding the big picture and dynamics on the Customer sideEnsuring Customer satisfaction:Having a deep understanding of Customer goals within the project we are working onUnderstanding how the Customer measures the business impact of the projectProviding Customers with the best service experienceGuiding Customers during the project:Advising on the release processAdvising how to achieve impactChallenging Customer plans to find the optimal approachEscalating risks on timeProjects Continuity:Ensuring that the Customer is successful thanks to our project and wants to continue working togetherFinding opportunities to grow the collaboration with the Customer Direct Management:You will be a direct manager of several individual contributors and less senior delivery managersProviding career support and finding opportunities to growIdentifying growing talents and underperformers and acting on them promptly.Project/Product Management:If needed, you will take over the role of a Project/Product Manager who works hands-on in the project by managing the backlog, handling communication with the customer, clarifying requirements, and supporting software engineers.Requirements:At least 4 years of commercial experience in a similar role or managing and leading cross-functional teams in a multinational environment Domain knowledge (Good understanding of fundamental concepts in molecular biology and bioinformatics; Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases; Familiarity with -omics data sets; Knowledge of processing, analyzing, and visualizing biological data; Extra point for hands-on experience with the project)Proven track record of successfully delivering projects for Pharma/BioTechProject management experience (Product Owner, Project Leader, Project Manager, Project Coordinator roles)English C1 (close to native speaker)Experience with client relationship management/salesUnderstanding of modern software development processExperience in mentoring other peopleYou’re okay with traveling to clients and conferences (~4 times per year)Experienced in remote work, likes remote-first working cultureCommunication is your strong point.
