We are now recruiting for offshore Construction Operation Manager to join our team. As an offshore Construction Operation Manager, you will be part of a permanently employed team who are dedicated and responsible for the Offshore Construction Operation Manager at Siemens Gamesa, you will be responsible for performance, discipline management, recruitment, personal and technical development of our own techniciansYou will work in an international team of offshore construction operations. Our construction Manager will need to be flexible to travel and working away from home Domestic and Internationally as needed. The role will provide you with lots of variety, learning and development opportunities along with an exceptional team culture. Your contribution to our visionIn the role of Offshore Construction Operation Manager at Siemens Gamesa, you will be responsible for performance and discipline management, recruitment, personal and technical development of our own technicians, you will oversee a team of up to 30-40 offshore technicians.Lead and manage staff:Act as a model for the safety culture, ensuring:Constantly increase engagement of workforce by proactively addressing emerging concerns, constant and complete communications at all levels, ensuring fairness in all matters.Ensure that the performance management process is adhered to for all staff in a fair and timely manner. Promote employee development opportunities. Identify and promote/progress staff members to ensure maximum benefit to the individual and the business utilizing HR and Management approval processes.Carry out corrective action and the progressive discipline process when and where needed. Holding all employees consistently accountable to the Siemens Standards of Conduct.Interact with all levels of the organization in a respectful and collaborative way.You will also:Ensure that safety standards are maintained within the team and that the technicians meet the requirements (e.g. offshore training, certificates, equipment) before each assignmentEnsure employee development based on an internal framework, business needs and personal development skillsMaintain the defined number of employees through new hires and ensure that your team is working at a high level of capacityRun performance management according to predefined processes (SGMBO, soft skills evaluation, consequence management)Manage an employee overview in the planning tool to ensure availability and utilization across functions and countriesRegularly visit offshore construction sites and maintain close contact with the employees working at the sitesThis role is strongly focused on leadership. The individual must be capable of inspiring performance of employees (within and without his/her organization) through both formal and informal means. District managers must be effective communicators, able to create compelling written documents and make convincing presentations, to staff members, peers, and executives, as well as customers.This also includes ensuring that the manager is kept informed of all necessary matters.Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and AbilitiesBachelor’s degree or similar, ideally in operations management, business or a related field.
