This is what LifeAtBNYMellon is all about. We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Institutional Accounting Manager I to join our newly created Global Institutional Accounting team.This role is located in Wrocław, Poland - hybrid.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:  Manages a small to medium team of Investment Reporting Administrators responsible for conducting accounting services on behalf of assigned clients including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports. Resolves escalated issues from team members. Manages the performance of assigned staff and sets team priorities. Manages the team in determining the net asset value (NAV) for assigned accounts/portfolios for each measurement cycle, within specified deadlines, Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contributions, their professional growth, and their ability to function with their colleagues as an effective team. Manages the performance and sets area priorities. Supports Group Manager to identify and streamline business operations. This includes but is not limited to enhancing controls by standardizing relevant business processes, managing/monitoring those activities to ensure quality and accuracy of data, as well as supporting key business programs which drive greater operational efficiencies and superior client service. Partners with supervisors and managers of the other groups in the firm to assess issues and strategize improvements. Supports the development of procedures and processes of the Reconciliation function within the business unit. Serves as a high-level escalation point for complex situations and ensure that they are brought to a successful resolution. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:  Excellent collaboration and communication skills (English min. B/C level). Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum of years of experience within similar area). At least year in management required.  Previous experience in fund accounting or reconciliation is desirable. General knowledge around economy, financial markets and accounting.
