Here, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity: We are currently recruiting a Rail Systems Engineering Manager for Europe GDC, with proven and solid experience in the international market. This unique and exciting position offers the opportunity to work in a developing practice with great growth opportunities, working in collaboration with multiple AECOM offices and Global Design Centers, as part of the Enterprise Capabilities strategy for Rail. The Rail System team will provide assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Rail and Transit Projects, throughout the USA and Australia, not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team. This is a key role within the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain) and will report to the senior management within the group. The responsibilities of this role include Leads a Rail Systems group across different locations. Leader in one or more sub-disciplines (electrification; traction Power; signaling; communications; track; etc.) with a strong understanding of the systems integration. Participates in strategic planning efforts to expand the Rail Systems team, with special focus on growing technical expertise. Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size Rail Projects. Approves and signs off on work. Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large, complex projects. Develops or expands innovation to deliver technical and operational excellence. Externally recognized as a regional or national expert in one or more elements of their technical discipline. Delivers effective communication inclusive of clients and team members to clarify expectations and requirements. Minimum Requirements Proven track record of Rail Systems Engineering on major international programs, collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+15 years). Subject Matter Expert at least in one of the following systems: OHLE; Traction Power or Signaling. Experience with relevant international regulations and standards. Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System. Ability to perform project work as well as serve as a tech Preferred Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Railways).
