This key role will be reporting in solid line and directly to the European Director of Finance and Financial Control.As Financial controller for EcoWater EMEA you will be responsible for managing all aspects of finance from effective financial controlling, reporting, supervising the accounting functions, treasury, liquidity management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. You will also act as a Business Partner to the Plant and Site Manager by helping to steer the facility performance and objectives. Finally, you will manage an accounting team (5 FTE’s) in Poland and a Plant Controller.This role is a key asset in the company, so we are looking for a team player with a strong sense of urgency and accountability for this position.Main responsibilities:Controlling and reporting:Coordinate and support monthly closing operations for EcoWater EMEA for both the sales unit and the manufacturing side (one legal entity); ensure appropriate and accurate financial reportingOwn the annual budget process (incl. 5y business planning ), forecast updates and analysis of monthly and quarterly P&L and balance sheet variations (incl. working capital, etc.)Conduct various day-to-day management control tasks (budget cycles, forecasts, reporting and financial analysis, etc.)Financial analysis at complex levels including rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, financial and expense performance comparisons. Engage in actions to improve financial control.Distribution of weekly sales reports by sales channel. Optimise sales and product margin analysis tools.Accounting and audits:Management of an Accounting team in Poland including talent development (5 FTE’s: one chief accountant, two senior accountants and two junior accountants)Identify accounting issues and help to resolve them.Identify and implement further optimization and automation of all on-site admin processesMonitor and implement regulations (tax or regulatory reporting); monitor the relationship with the tax consultantSupport, manage and meet internal and external audit requirements. Maintain relations with the Auditors.Processes and systems:Ensure compliance with Marmon Group internal procedures (SPI, Sarbanes Oxley internal controls and US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act)Participate in finance-related projects, especially those related to ERP/systems transitionsPropose and actively participate in process and system automation improvements. If necessary, translate or write procedures and implement them.Other:Define strategies to achieve the financial goals of the assembly side as well as the pan-EU fulfilment centre, identify both leading and lagging KPI’sMonitoring of sales and support function performance, thereby helping to develop and track performance indicators in assistance of the Business Controller for the European sales organisation.Management and responsibility for IT processes (compliance, oversight, security, etc.)Proxy holder to enable a proper co-representation of EcoWater EMEABusiness Partner with Operations ManagementYou will provide financial support for all investment projects requiring a business case.Check the inventory health of the Poznan operationsEducation & Experience RequirementsMaster or a business school degree in Finance (Economics, Business Engineering or Finance Management)Successful experience in a similar position, in an internation industrial context, of at least 3 to 5 years is requiredSolid technical skills both in accounting (Local and USGAAP), management control ERP and office solutionsStrong analytical and reporting skills, as well as proving to be skilled with all modern IT - toolsEnglish – advanced levelMeticulous, organised and proactive thereby always meeting the set deadlinesStrong communication, leadership and team builder skillsSolution-driven and collaborative mindset towards all EcoWater entitiesAble to work cross-functionally and hands-on when requiredResilient, calm under pressure, and strong emotional intelligenceExperience in a multicultural and international environment will be a major assetTravelling abroad should not be a problem for you (Belgium, US) – est. 10%#LI-Onsite Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
