You’ll be based in our Wroclaw office as part of our Client Capabilities Network (CCN). You will be a part of Consumer Operations Benchmarking Initiative (COBI) team.Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Network deliver meaningful client work through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation. We have more than 8,000 client capabilities professionals across the globe work alongside our consultants to deliver Change that Matters to our clients. They support our consultant teams, both remotely and at client sites, in an agile and targeted way.COBI is a growing global service line in Retail Consumer & Packaged Goods practice. Building on McKinsey’s long-standing expertise in operations and performed benchmarking and diagnostics, COBI helps to improve clients’ operational performance.The team collects data from clients’ and analyzes manufacturing and supply chain as well as sustainability performance. Day-to-day work of the team includes close collaboration with the clients and consulting teams to understand companies’ specifics to ensure an “apple to apple” comparison. COBI provides benchmarking analytics (e.g., normalization) and compares clients’ performance against industry peers. Results are presented to senior operations managers. The team continuously refines the benchmarking solution by using various analytics methods or tools and innovates to develop new offerings.In this role, you will support the COBI team in performing benchmarking analytics (such as data normalization, quality/consistency checks, benchmark creation, etc.) and reporting to our clients from the consumer and retail sector to improve their operational excellence. Additionally, you will also help to further develop and maintain our tools and assets (e.g., with process automation). For your work, you will leverage various tools from the proprietary COBI Digital App to tools like Tableau, Excel, as significant share of work is focused on data analysis and modelling of datasets provided by our clients in Excel. You will also have a chance to observe the client engagements and work alongside senior knowledge professionals and experts on larger client projects or internal knowledge building initiatives, as well as directly learn from experts in both manufacturing and supply chain operations. Our team puts strong focus on development of both hard skills (e.g., Excel) and soft skills (e.g., effective communication, translating data into insights).This internship program will enhance your professional and personal development through mentoring and coaching sessions with tenured colleagues. This will last up to 12 months with a minimum of 25 work hours per week.
