QUALITY AND SAFETY MANAGERMain goal of the position:ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumers oversee all aspects of Melex safety, health, and environmental compliancedevelop and promote Health and Safety cultureScope of responsibility:understand customer needs and requirements to develop, implement, and maintain effective quality controls and assurance processesutilize business data, the voice of the customer, and other key metrics to proactively improve quality and safety in both process and productsensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligationsoversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards, supervise operational quality departmentsupport Operations to reduce scrap through cross-functional review, data trend analysis, and structured problem solvingcoordinate customer audits, third party audits, internal audits, audits of products and processes manage the area of non-compliance and coordinate the process of introducing corrective and preventive actionspromote the adherence to ISO standards, implement quality concepts, methods, tools and procedures as part of an effective Quality Management Systemwork closely with Production and Operations Management to provide guidance and leadership for Quality and Safety related initiativesinspection of working conditions in terms of occupational health, risks and safety requirements.supervision over waste management, water and sewage management and air emissions.initiating and supervising activities aimed at improving working conditions and safety, elimination of health and safety risks.supervision over facility and maintenance activitiesRequired qualifications: Experience: > 5 years of Quality and Safety Management experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with leading and coaching others, while exhibiting a high degree of influence. Hands-on and collaborative approach with suitable situational leadership management style.Familiarity and understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.Understanding of Lean Principles, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methods and tools.An understanding of General Manufacturing best practices,Skills:Exceptional leadership, motivational, and project management skills with the ability to drive project-specific issues and goals to closure.Ability to integrate business, manufacturing, and technical elements.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management. The ability to complete major projects with little supervision.Proficiency in both English and PolishProficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to enhance a team environment, including development of team-oriented leaders and members.Must possess clear thought process of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions using Lean/Operational Excellence/Operational Excellence methodologies.
