Demand Manager (Europe and Americas)

Job Family: Supply ChainThe Demand Manager position is instrumental in supporting Johnson Matthey’s Clean Air business by crafting monthly demand forecasts for the Americas and European regions.In this position, you will be a key driver in creating and managing the true customer/consumer demand signals by which the organization aligns supply chain and company resources. This is critical for the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process, as revenue and supply plans leverage this information. As Demand Manager, you will drive the creation of a demand forecast working with other functional teams to develop a consensus plan, which will then be reviewed with the supply-planning team for ability to support. You will also use data insights to improve forecast accuracy.You will report directly to the Sector S&OP Process and Planning Manager and your joint achievements will significantly contribute to the overall success of Johnson Matthey. You can be part of that success story.Your main responsibilities:Assess market changes and variances, recommending revisions and tactics.Gather past/future demand factors from sales/marketing, modeling their impacts.Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations to adjust forecasts.Generate a consensus demand plan with business unit leadership.Ensure timely sharing of forecast in required format/detail to internal partners.Utilize demand-planning systems effectively, including scenario analysis and characteristic identification.Communicate forecast range and potential risks/opportunities to supply planners.Develop and share reports on forecast accuracy, driving continuous improvement.Monitor process metrics and KPIs, making recommendations for efficiency enhancements.Requirements for the role:University degree in supply chain/planning and/or equivalent experience.Strong analytical mindset and conceptual skills.Proficiency in modelling, forecasting, analysis, and simulation tools, including advanced knowledge of Excel.Global work experience across diverse functions and cultures.Excellent communication and presentation skills with diverse audiences.Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.Well-organized personality with good attention to details, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.Ability to identify and communicate improvement opportunities.How you will be rewarded:We offer a competitive compensation package, which includes bonuses and other local perks.At JM, an inclusive culture is integral to our values and ambitions for the future.
