Procurement Category Manager

At Zentiva, our mission is to ensure the supply of high-quality and affordable medicines to the people who depend on our products.In Europe, one out of seven people chooses Zentiva, and our external suppliers play a key role to build our solutions, which help people live better lives every day.To deliver our mission, we are looking for a senior procurement professional who willMaximize the value for Zentiva by providing efficient procurement services, optimizing spend and processes, and capturing suppliers innovation for the assigned categoryAct as a business partner and change agent by fully understanding the business needs of the supported categories of spend and ensuring buy-in and successful implementation of sourcing and procurement solutionsThe category in scope is Marketing, with all its subcategories (agencies, market research, promotional materials, media buying, etc.).Other indirect procurement categories (professional services, etc.) could be tackled if relevant.This is a temporary assignment of two years, to cover for a maternity leave.Main Accountabilities:1. Ensure engagement & management of relationship with stakeholders in areas of responsibilityBuild in-depth knowledge of supported groupGather spend information within supported entities to identify areas of quality, lead-times, cash and payment terms opportunities, savings, risk mitigation, sustainability and innovationFurther develop procurement strategy for management approval to achieve the target of the supported Divisions2. Review, optimize and manage spend category strategyGather information related to the current and potential supply market in the category, bringing innovation-driven solutionsReview status of relationships with current suppliers together with budget ownersInteract with internal customers to identify growth/development opportunities and evaluate new business opportunities3. Carry out sourcing activitiesBuild multi-functional teams and drive Procurement projects in compliance with the business Strategy and with Responsible Procurement practicesLead Procurement projects across business functions leveraging and developing Zentiva sourcing assets (RFI, RFQ, negotiation, contracting, etc.)Actively collaborate and communicate with all relevant internal partners 4. Carry out supplier relationship managementSegment and rationalize the existing supply base in respective category spendAnalyse risks and set-up risk mitigation planProactively work with suppliers to strengthen business relations (reduce service times, improve overall delivery performance, and reduce costs)Set up supplier continuous improvement program where appropriateRequired Education/Qualifications/Skills:University level and master in procurement5 to 10 international experience in Procurement/contracting management, out of which, 3 years in a project manager level positionAbility to represent Zentiva’s interests to outside professionals and suppliersStrong negotiation skillsDecision making ability to purchase goods or services in alignment with the objectives of the supported entitiesComprehensive understanding of Procurement processes and knowledge of best practices for sourcing, supplier management and procure-to-payPreferred experience in Procurement in a pharmaceutical environmentExperience of project management in a complex (multi-cultural / multi-functional) scopeFinancial background is an assetThe working schedule after probation period is hybrid - 60% home office and 40% presence in officeDiversity is a fact.
