Job Description Responsibilities: System Maintenance: Regularly update, patch, and maintain systems to ensure security and integrity. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures. Server Management: Administer and maintain both physical and virtual servers. Troubleshoot and resolve server issues. User Support: Provide technical support, software installation, configuration, and issue resolution. Train employees on system usage. Security and Compliance: Implement security protocols, monitor incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage user access controls. Documentation: Maintain detailed system documentation and generate performance and incident reports. Collaboration: Work with the IT team on projects, system upgrades, migrations, and technology integrations. Recommend new technologies to improve performance. Requirements: Technical Skills: System updates, patches, and maintenance experience. Server administration for physical and virtual environments. End-user technical support and training. Security protocols implementation and incident response. Detailed documentation and reporting. Project collaboration and technology evaluation. Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Systems Administrator or similar role. Location: Initial 1-3 months in Ulm, Germany (hotel provided), then Gdansk, Poland. Education: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Technology Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtualization technologies, and familiarity with cloud platforms and cybersecurity practices. Languages: English and Polish proficiency at C1 level.
