Our esteemed Client, an international real estate developer and investor, is currently seeking a highly experienced Group Head of Construction​ to manage its dynamic development pipeline throughout Europe. This executive will be key in ensuring the strategic oversight and success of all international project management and construction activities. This includes managing comprehensive project budgets, enhancing cost-effectiveness, and supporting collaboration among local finance and construction units, procurement, and cost engineering departments. The Group Head of Construction​ will report directly to the Group's top management. Group Head of Construction INTL/2404/GDCR /Prague or Warsaw - based/ Tasks Strategic Oversight and Project Budget Management: Oversee the preparation of project budgets across the region, ensuring their alignment with strategic goals and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate and consolidate budget requests for executive consideration and approval. Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration: Cultivate and maintain strong, effective relationships with the local Finance, Construction teams, and Procurement/Cost Engineering departments to facilitate seamless operations and the achievement of project objectives Will create and manage effectively the Group-level team including QS, Project Controlling, Product Design Innovation, etc. Construction Process Optimization: Leverage expert knowledge to refine construction processes, ensuring project evaluations contribute to meaningful insights and continual improvement of practices Innovative solutions to large-scale pipeline, including value engineering, “lean construction,” and similar Expert Advisory and Risk Management: Act as a key advisor in the budget approval process, providing foresight into potential challenges, cost implications, and risks associated with construction projects. Key Success Factors: Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various levels of the organization. Proven leadership in executing a meticulous and comprehensive budget approval process. Adept at managing formal processes and applying collected insights to optimize future projects. Requirements Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the European real estate sector, particularly in construction management. Educational Background: A university degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is required, with finance and RICS accreditation being advantageous. Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams, including proficiency in remote management. Financial and Construction Project Management: Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and the financial management of construction projects. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a track record of effective decision-making and problem-resolution. Effective Communication: Skilled in clearly communicating project objectives, milestones, and expectations to teams and stakeholders. Construction and Engineering Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, standards, and regulatory compliance.
