Join us and be part of something remarkable.Key responsibilitiesThe Vendor Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers by maintaining strong cooperation with vendors and engaging various departments in valuable discussion. Focus of this role includes optimizing performance, cost efficiency, and mutual satisfaction. Essentially, the Vendor Manager acts as a bridge between vendors and the company, striving to enhance overall service levels. A person taking up this position oversees day-to-day performance of vendors, ensuring timely delivery, capacity allocation, volume distribution, and handling ad hoc quotes and capacity requirements.The vendor manager:Manages day to day vendor performance, ensuring on-time delivery, capacity and proper volume allocation according to procurement guidelines.Collaborates with the execution teams to align vendor assignments with the overall procurement strategy.Analyzes execution cycles to verify that required capacity is consistently met on a daily basis.Develops improvement plans when vendors are falling short of delivery requirements or capacity provisions.Manages and cultivates key supplier relationships, ensuring commitments to vendors are honoured.Creates and maintains relevant KPIs and the dashboards, presenting and reviewing them with Vendors and stakeholders.Identifies recurring service issues and collaborates with vendors to address them effectively.Acts as a bridge between operations, procurement, and finance departments for important commercial decisions.Facilitates an onboarding of new vendors, ensuring compliance with all requirements (e.g., insurance, track & trace data).Serves as an internal and external escalation point, taking ownership of problem resolution.Develops, standardizes, and optimizes procedures to foster constructive relationships between stakeholders involved in the inland process.Secures Ad-hoc quotes and capacity for physical inland products as required.Be active part of Vendor Management community within NEC & EUR.We are looking for a person who is/has:Excellent communicatorSolution orientedStrong market knowledgeTeam playerGood industry networkCustomer orientedCost consciousContinuous improvement & optimization mindsetLanguages: Polish and English mandatoryMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
