Description :As a Database Technician you will be a member of the Operation Center team in Vasteras located in Kraków, supporting delivery of Hitachi EMS/DMS/SCADA systems and applications globally. Your duties will include configuring systems using Network Control approved product implementation standards, as well as acquiring working knowledge of regional market needs and helping drive standardization in the delivery process.Use database documentation, including product data standards and procedures to import and export customer data,Understand and document definitions for the data dictionary (metadata),Provide technical and/or business assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing customer data models,Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing,Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures,Monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests,Write description of steps taken to modify system and procedures required to implement new software,Provide problem solving, technical, and business expertise in the design, testing, and deployment of business applications,Create clear, detailed documents of systems requirements including workflow and functionality requirements,Create calculations and reports using NM system tools,Upgrade of customer RDBMS databases, which includes customization, quality assurance, and development to suit customer needs.National and international travel may be required.Requirements:Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in computer science, information sciences or a related field,A thorough understanding of RDBMS, especially Oracle and SQL Server,Knowledge of Oracle development environment SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, UNIX shell scripting,Data modelling and validation skills,Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of Power System Explores (PSE) software will be a plus.
