Engineering Manager

Job DescriptionSunshine Conversations powers conversational experiences between people and organizations through an omnichannel messaging experience.We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team and help us build our product that serves millions of users globally.What you’ll be doing Hire, onboard, mentor, coach and retain talented developers.Encourage innovation within the team.Work on constantly improving the wellbeing and productivity of the team.Own the team’s roadmap in partnership with product managers.Work closely with leadership to transform vision and roadmap into reality.Be a hands-on developer within the team when needed.Be on call for the team and be responsible for the sustainability of the on call rotation.What you bring to the role Proven people management experience.Demonstrated ability to lead the design, implementation, delivery and operation of high traffic customer-facing software in production.Great communication skills in English to collaborate with teams spread across the globe.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with some technologies from our tech stack (see below).Experience working for a SaaS company.Tech StackOur backend code is written in TypeScript and runs on Node.js. We use Express as our web framework.Our data is stored on MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, S3, and is queued or streamed through RabbitMQ, Kafka and SQS.Our workloads run on Kubernetes clusters hosted on AWS. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
