TEICON Engineering is currently looking for a local Subcontract Manager (m/f/d) for an Air Separation Plant in Poland as of May 2024 Subcontract Manager (m/f/d) Full Time PÅ‚ock, Polen With Professional Experience 5/16/24 TERMS The project is scheduled to start in May 2024 and will run for approximately 20+ months until at least the end of December 2025 (with the option to extend). Contract type: fixed-term employment or freelance project . RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager to lead and oversee subcontract operations, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with company standards. This role involves extensive coordination with project and site managers, implementing best practices in procurement and subcontracting to secure the best value for the company. Lead and manage subcontract arrangements with the support of a team of subcontract engineers. Develop and maintain effective subcontracting concepts, strategies, and project specifications. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth subcontract operations and effective communication of issues. Initiate and oversee internal and external subcontract-related activities, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, liabilities, and disputes with suppliers and partners. Maintain thorough contractual records, document key correspondences, and prepare status and issue reports. Act as a role model for management behavior aligned with our corporate code of conduct. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting continuous improvement. Review and approve construction cost estimates, manpower planning, and work breakdown structures. Participate in project meetings, handle subcontractor prequalification, and integrate negotiation outcomes into contract documents. Manage and negotiate change orders and variation order requests with subcontractors. Maintain effective communication with site personnel and ensure accurate monthly reporting via industry-specific software. QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in subcontract management within a relevant industry. Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and project management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and to mentor junior staff.
