The Global Sustainability Power and Energy Storage Lead will lead and grow the team/s strategic activities around the industry’s power and energy storage technologies. The Global Sustainability Offshore Renewable Energy Lead's primary role is to serve as the subject matter expert regarding power and energy storage technologies to our clients and employees.What You Will Do: Maintain a solid understanding of emerging regulatory frameworks related to electrification. Understand the role that power and energy storage technologies play in the industry's decarbonization efforts and support the department's activities in these sectors. As directed, perform market research, business analysis, and data analysis in the fields of electrification, renewable energy, GHG reduction, and relevant technologies.  Provide clients with technical support related to planning and developing electrification projects. Participate in business development activities. Build relationships and manage interfaces with clients, contributing to scaling up our power and energy storage activities. Lead and support the preparation of proposals. Support the department's different projects, services, and other activities. Conduct seminars and workshops and attend industry events and conferences related to the energy transition and its applications on marine vessels and offshore units. Contribute to authoring ABS publications and thought leadership documents.  What You Will Need:Education and Experience The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree (or recognized equivalent) in a field related to power and energy storage. Master's degree or higher welcomed. Minimum of five () years of related practical experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of power and energy storage technologies (, batteries, fuel cells, etc.)  Knowledge of o power and energy storage focus project development and construction. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen interest in renewable energy and decarbonization for the offshore sector. Strong project management skills, good organizational, and effective time management skills as you may be required to handle multiple projects. Must possess excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. Must be capable of presenting and working with clients. Must be able to travel. Ability to work well with others. Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System or ability to learn it.  Reporting Relationships:Reports directly to the Manager of the Houston Sustainability Center. Environmental Conditions:Work will normally be performed in an air-conditioned office environment. Occasionally, the candidate will be required to visit manufacturing plants, remote field sites, or go aboard marine vessels or structures. Work will be non-manual, but the candidate must be able to walk and climb among equipment and structures. Occasionally may have to lift between ‒ pounds.
