Mid Java Engineer

We are now looking for a Software Engineer who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. In order to achieve this, you will be working together with the development team and product owners. What you will be doing to make a difference: Design and develop functionality for the DeltaXE product based on functional and system requirements according to the required specification. Be a part of the scrum team and work closely with consultants and product owners for understanding and verifying the requirements and define and realize appropriate implementations. Be responsible for efficient, maintainable code with test coverage. Be responsible for operational practically of implementations. Maintain and upgrade existing functionality in DeltaXE product. Participate in the analysis and composition of requirements, design of architectural and component software features, design and implementation of system, design and implementation of test plan, and documentation of final solution. Participate in Scrum process meetings. Initial duties may include review code, writing documentation and following test procedures. There are also good possibilities for new or additional roles in the development team or in the consulting team for the right candidate. What you need to have to succeed: Essential requirements: Minimum 4 years of software development experience Experience in working on agile development and Scrum project methodology Backend: Java SE, Spring Core/MVC, Hibernate, JDBC & SQL, XML, JSON/REST, JUnit Build: Eclipse, Git Relevant degree from a university or advanced technical college Great communication skills in English both spoken and written Experience in or willigness to work with swing desktop applications Disposition to work from our office in Gdańsk at least twice per week Desirable skills: Knowledge of using collaborative tools including version control and issue tracking as SVN or Github Enterprise, Jira, Confluence Experience in middleware OSB/SOAP Experience in DevOps (deployment, Unix, shell/powershell scripts) Experience of Oracle/PLSQL Experience with Camunda BPM platform Reasons to join Volue team and what we offer: Large degree of influence in shaping & developing the role further Great colleagues in one of Europe’s most exciting green tech companies with innovative and international work environment Flexible working hours & competitive compensation package In Volue, we cherish each employee’s competence, ideas and personality.
