Job DescriptionDirects and manages a team of software engineers and architects responsible for the development and/or validation of software for a specific Intel product segment or technology over multiple areas of the software lifecycle, including design, development, validation, debug, optimization, customer engagement, and/or product support. Oversees the development of software across multiple layers of the stack including firmware, drivers, operating systems, software applications and tools, infrastructure, and platforms. Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results. Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.QualificationsMinimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Qualifications:The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field with 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field and 4+ years of experience in:Experience managing large software engineering teams, working worldwide across a multifunction matrixed organization, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, technical stakeholders, and strategic planners.Experience with Linux operating system including bare metal and virtualization and open-source software development.Preferred Qualifications:Linux Kernel subsystems maintenance.What we offer:At Intel, we offer a collaborative, supportive environment, where your equally brilliant colleagues will push you to be your best.
