About the role We are looking for a Chief Accountant our Accounting team in Fortum Financial and Operative Procurement Services (FPS) in Wrocław. Our unit is a centralized financial service center delivering and developing accounting and tax services for whole Fortum group entities internationally. The local team is responsible for the accounting and tax reporting of Polish entities. In a Chief Accountant role you will be collaborating with a team of accountants specializing in General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Tax Accounting in co-operation with other stakeholders under shared services concept. You will be cooperating internationally on process improvements and corporate initiatives in accounting. As the Chief Accountant for dedicated Polish entities you will be accountable for the statutory, group and tax reporting. It is crucial to follow and implement changes regarding accounting and tax regulation, guidance and consulting business on tax and accounting issue as well as co-operating with authorities and auditors. Main responsibilities: Accounting in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and Fortum group requirements Supervising that company accounting policies and procedures fulfilled Timely preparation of tax declarations (VAT, CIT. WHT), financial statements and internal reports Cooperation with auditors, financial institutions and stakeholders Reviewing and improving service quality and team performance Coordinating and communicating effectively between various counterparties and customers Proposing improvements in the team's daily work and identifying system development opportunities We offer you You will have the opportunity to be part of professional team and develop your professional expertise and collaboration skills as well as interact with different finance counterparts.
