About Energy and DecarbonizationThe Energy Department, part of the European Procurement Organization of ArcelorMittal, is responsible for sourcing of electricity, natural gas and industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon and hydrogen), and develops energy projects for the group e.g. energy efficiency, power plants to valorize siderurgical gases and renewable energy projects, etc. The Department is currently developing new axes of decarbonization with Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage, large scale green hydrogen and alternative reductants.Energy department is buying energy directly on markets or through bilateral contracts for European perimeter.Energy team is also providing necessary support and expertise to ArcelorMittal’s steel mills worldwide in their energy projects. Energy team is also reviewing European directives on energy and supporting group in preparing respective advocacy plans. Scope, Mission and Responsibilities Being the point of contact of the Energy EPO team in Poland. Responsible of all the energy topics in Poland for all the segments. Work very closely with the rest of the EPO Energy team based in Paris or Luxembourg.In connection with all the mills in Poland follow the evolution of the energy needs, analyse the sourcing conditions and propose the most competitive energy supply (Power, Natural-gas, industrial gases, alternative reductants…). Responsible for the negotiation/development of Energy contracts/Projects (including amendments) for the natural gas, electricity, power plant and/or industrial gases.  Participate to the regular meetings between the users/supplier in order to monitor the performance of the contract and manage any potential claim. Work closely with the EPO Energy Team and users to develop the Energy projects (take benefit of best practice, market analysis).  Coordinate projects developed by the EPO Energy team and support locally (energy efficiency, on site renewable…)Know and master the European Energy legal frame (Market design, energy transport, energy storage, Renewable energy directives…). Focal point on Transport, Taxes & State-aids. Build & maintain the associated tools to track the spend and enhance additional savings. Follow-up of the CO2 indirect compensation scheme at Poland level. Help energy plant manager vis-à-vis certification body and manage tense planning. Support Polish energy manager at plant level on state-aid scheme and tax issue (≈20 plants). Responsible of the Polish Energy User Meeting - 2 times per year. Monitoring the evolution of regulatory environment. Analyses impacts of measures and makes proposal. Works closely with the Head of the Energy Regulatory of the EPO Energy team. Share the country view and prepare together any position. Participate to an Energy regulatory experts’ community. Keeps informed and supports the Country Manager and EPO Energy team. When requested, represents AM Group in association (consumer of energy or sector (steel)). Defends AM’s positions vis-à-vis other stakeholders. Share the country view.Support the Governmental team in the lobbying action.Report to the Head of EPO Energy: inform the status of discussion, issues and evolution of needs. Main characteristics: Masters degree in Engineering, Economics, Languages: Polish and fluent in English, any other EU language is a benefit. Knowledge in energy domain is a plus. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, team player. Dynamic, persistent, working autonomously and taking initiative. Excellent communication and listening skills. Able to communicate effectively, (both in written and verbal form), at all levels of the organization. Strong critical thinking/analytical skills. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as fellow team members at all levels.  Team spirit.
