You will be located in various locations globally, onboard one of our Geotechnical Vessels   Experience and Qualifications Piggyback Coring (PBC) Geobor S Drilling is highly desirable Core Handling Tidal Calculations and Presentations • Deploying and Recovering Seabed Frames • Perform the Drilling Departments daily checklists, such as QHSE checks and Derrick inspection Ensure DP procedures are known, checked and followed. • Maintain accurate records of tubular conditions, and tool dimensions (internal and external diameter and serial numbers) Participate in HAZID & HAZOP reviews & provide advice related to GM Operating Policies & Procedures Valid STCW Valid ENG1 Medical Valid Seamans Book Necessary visa for project location Functions and duties The duties assigned to Offshore Geotechnical Compensated Driller will be varied; these will include but not be limited to the following: Maintain an organized drill floor free of safety hazards. • Ensure accurate count of tubulars in the well as well as tubulars back on the deck, in the pipe racks • Read and interpret various gauges and meters relating to the drilling operations – assist the Drilling Supervisor in maintaining records and logs. • Lead drill crews in pre-job meeting with the all operations on drill floor as well as third party personnel for all non-routine and routine drilling operations. • Assist with the preparation of equipment for impending drilling operations. • Organize and supervise the drilling crews for all operations. • Supply proactive written handovers on shift change. • Shut the well in safely and efficiently at any signs of well control problems to minimize risk to crews and drilling rig. • Plan and conduct Preventive Maintenance on drilling equipment. • Assist in repairs on drilling and associated equipment. • Record accurate volumes of all drilling fluid including displacement volumes on tripping/drilling operations. • Monitor mud systems and mud mixing operation. • Follow standing instructions from Drilling Supervisors and inform them in a timely basis if variance of instructions has to take place. • Ensure and know safety systems are overridden or locked out with following correct process and notification. • Understand the Client’s rules and Company procedures for well control • Support Drilling Supervisor in achieving rig goals & company expectations. • Create, review and revise procedures and work instructions. • Create and work with company digital checklist format for operational QHSE • Ensure all relevant safety procedures and practices are adhered to during drilling operations • Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations to the Drilling Supervisor • Drive the use by all personnel of the GM Integrated Management System (IMS) & Tools including Observation Process, Planning Process and PTW • Participate in daily, weekly and all other necessary meetings • Conduct Drilling operations safety drills • Ensure a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained onboard the vessel • Actively promote the Company’s Vision and Mission
