  • Performing all duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of the Company's Vision, Strategy and Mission Statement which includes Safety, Quality and Environment Policies.
  • Developing, supporting and coordinating workforce in the following functions:
    • Managing production operations,
    • Managing and motivating human resources (production, maintenance & admin),
    • Strong maintenance experience (preventative and curative),
    • Troubleshooting and repairing background (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, electrics, PLC … for automated equipment).
  • Ensuring plant availability through effective and efficient scheduling of equipment maintenance, (operations running 24/7).
  • Scheduling, assisting and directing in house maintenance personnel to undertake repairs and equipment improvements.
  • Maintaining accurate production and maintenance
  • Monitoring, measuring, and adjusting processes and KPI's to meet contract requirements and quality expectations.
  • Customer relationship management.
  • Overseeing the installation of new equipment and ensuring long term project success.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a heavy industrial environment (knowledge of the steel industry would be an asset).
  • Upper-level engineering based degree.
  • Excellent people skills to successfully work with steel mill management (customer), suppliers, and operations personnel.
  • Equipment and production processes optimization.
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment (including technical schematics and documents).
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical and mechanical issues on heavy duty production equipment.
  • Ability to accurately evaluate operating equipment and schedule preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to train, support and coordinate personnel at all levels.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement the appropriate programs and controls.
