IT System Engineers (m/f/d) z/OS Work location Frankfurt on the Main Working hours Full-time (part-time is generally possible), permanent Start date as of now Job ID 2024_0231_02 Work of special value: your commitment with us Together with your colleagues, you will provide the mainframe operating system technology for national payment and statistical applications as well as for the EMIP platform of the ESCB system You will assume product responsibility for z/OS operating system base components (z/OS or USS), the IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or file transfer products, for example You are responsible for the design and further development of these components, for example with regard to operational stability, memory utilization, backup procedures or security concepts You will also act as last level support, plan and manage the procurement of required resources (hardware or software, external consulting) and provide support in IT projects You will also work in the system administration of z/OS and in the area of hardware management Special values: Your qualifications Bachelor's or equivalent degree in (business) informatics or a comparable degree program with a focus on information technology Very good knowledge and at least two years of professional experience in dealing with the z/OS operating system and its basic functions or Very good knowledge and at least two years of professional experience in dealing with Unix System Services and ideally IIB Good knowledge of the RACF security server Understanding of cryptographic procedures Knowledge of the Hardware Management Console, IT service management processes (ITIL), IT security guidelines combined with knowledge of business administration and project management Willingness and health suitability to take on on-call duty as well as event-related weekend/holiday work, staggered working hours and (foreign) business trips Strong ability to work in a team combined with a high level of commitment, a sense of responsibility and analytical and conceptual skills Very good German and good written and spoken English skills We expect you to be willing to undergo a security check in accordance with the German Federal Security Check Act (SÜG).
