Your responsibilities The purpose of this role is to drive the delivery of all aspects of Spottitt’s technology roadmap and to implement the additional tools and systems required to track the delivery progress of a growing organisation with deliverables across multiple interlinked technology strands. Spottitt’s technology roadmap between now and a Series A funding round foreseen for 2026 will see you manage a growing team with experts in software development and testing for geospatial services, geographic information systems, earth observation and machine learning. Your team will be working on the delivery and development of our unique Spottitt Metrics Factory geospatial analytics and metrics delivery interface, increasing automation from client acquisition to service delivery, enabling ease of Spottitt Metrics Factory output integration with our clients wide range of existing business systems, plus growth of the geospatial data sources and associated analytics supported by Spottitt Metrics factory. You will report to Spottitt CEO Lucy Kennedy who is based in Oxford, UK. Main tasks and responsibilities: Achievement of the technical aspects of Spottitt’s company OKRs for 2024 and beyond. Grow your technical team in both numbers, (from 8 to 16 by the end of 2024) diversity and and skills. Participate in management meetings, preparation and presentation of materials for quarterly board meetings. You will live and breathe Spottitt’s passion for automation and drive to constantly improve the quality of our analytics and completeness of our monitoring service range for a global client base. Identify and deliver the potential of new types of geospatial data and technologies, that can best meet the customer needs identified by Spottitt’s Product Manager and Business Development Teams You and your team will ensure that Spottitt is a recognized leader within the field of ‘Geospatial Data Analytics’, bringing business users easy, ‘plug and play’ access to flexible easy to integrate geospatial analytics and metrics via Spottitt MF. Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that Spottitt always does its best to meet our customers' needs The more of these you have, the better, but we understand that nobody is the finished article: You have experience as a CTO within a lean start-up environment You have a strong knowledge of B2B SaaS product management You have strong technical skills, able to achieve buy-in from a growing, highly talented development team located in both UK and PL and lead the vision / architecture of the Spottitt MF platform You relish the opportunity to work with autonomy and lead the technical direction You have excellent communication skills, comfortable working at board level and presenting to investors and potential clients Experience with agile software development methodologies and tools, we use Jira University degree in Machine Learning, Software Development, Earth Observation, GIS or similar relevant disciplines Exceptional written communication skills in English You won't be expected to code hands-on but will be able to conduct code reviews and review architectural designs Our Offer We offer you a challenging, full-time or part-time role in the management team of a company at a crucial point of growth and expansion.
