Global Category Manager – Fiber Optics

Your Job Due to growth and increased customer demand, Molex CES is looking to add an experienced Global Category Manager – Fiber Optics to join our global procurement team.As a part of your role, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of Global Procurement strategies and execution for Fiber Optics ensuring alignment with the Business Unit strategic requirements and goals. Responsibilities are considered integral to the success and profitability of the business. Continuous review and analysis of the strategy are required to accommodate changes in market dynamics. This role is not open to visa sponsorship.What You Will Do Drive cost reduction objectives with the responsibility to deliver on the annual cost reduction plan for fiber optic components Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on commodity price and lead-time movements along with recommendations on relevant actions Detailed understanding of electronics components market to facilitate proactive pricing and supply strategies Provide input to global processes, policies, and procedures to improve the management of the BU spend Provide support to the NPI team on the introduction of new products in terms of supplier selection for critical materials Ensure the timely negotiation of all supplier agreements (including the development of a framework for productivity and quality plans) Negotiate and handle vendor agreements, encouraging compliance by both supplier and end-users Drive efforts to achieve total cost solutions for the complete supply chain Support the Procurement Operations teams as they interface/direct operations of suppliers Conduct frequent business and performance reviews with suppliers to improve KPIs Promoting PBM (Principle Based Management) culture and Molex branding in the long runWho You Are (Basic Qualifications) BS/BA in a related field Higl level of expertise and demonstrated experience in procurement, supply chain or/and manufacturingSkillful at influencing decisions, negotiating, and building consensus Must have strong cultural sensitivity to maintain relationships with people from all cultures Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization Demonstrated experience driving cross functional collaboration across business units and geographies Fluent in EnglishWhat Will Put You AheadExperience on fiber optics is critical to this roleGood supplier networking that enables quickly identifying and on-boarding external capabilitiesProcess knowledge and costing awareness, of injection-molding, sheet metal/enclosures and fiber optic cables and connectors manufacturing.What Do We Offer Opportunities for a professional developmentPrivate medical health careLife insuranceSport cardCooperation with specialists who are willing to share their knowledgeA high degree of independence - we are open to your initiativesWho We Are For more than 30 years, Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions (CES) has been manufacturing and supplying a comprehensive set of copper and fibre optic products that form a versatile structured cabling system.At Koch, employees are empowered to do what they do best to make life better.
