Business Development Manager – Czech, Slovakia and Hungary

Samskip is a leading company providing the most modern and sustainable logistics solutions throughout Europe. The company has been operating in Poland for 7 years and transports goods by sea, rail and road.In Poland, we are expanding in two locations: Gdansk and Bydgoszcz. We are looking for a new colleague to join the sales team to develop new business in the Czech, Slovak and Hungarian markets. As part of your role, you will be responsible for building a sales pipeline from scratch, actively seeking new customers and acting as an ambassador for the Samskip brand and sustainable transport. You will work closely with the customer service department in Gdansk to ensure the best possible customer service.Main responsibilities: Selling Samskip services on the market, by explaining the benefits of using SamskipBuild & maintain area sales pipelineCollaborate closely with Customer Service located in Gdansk to ensure best possible customer experience is offeredGive input to Area Head and Trade on new product development and service improvementsCooperate with Operations team, our vendors and Trade on service offeringPeriodic travels to Gdansk and Rotterdam What we are looking for: At least 5 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industryAt least 3 years of experience in similar positionSales process knowledgeTransport industry knowledge and container shipping experience (preferred)Effective communicatorPersistent negotiatorGood organization skills, Self-started, comfortable with working remotelyVery good level of English (speaking and writing) What we offer: Working in an international environmentA smooth induction process based on an adaptation programmeA team of dedicated people who enjoy what they doNecessary working tools such as laptop, phone, company carRemote workingAccess to Samskip Academy You will be encouraged in all aspects of personal and professional development, and we promote a good work/life balance in which colleagues become friends via our regular social events.
